-and of cause where possible throwing in a measure of practicality.
All About BogDawgs
The very early idea of "BogDawgs" came about in the winter of 2013. As my two rescue Greyhounds were getting older, I struggled to find practical, well-fitting, and ethical coats for them.
Having grown up in my Danish grandmothers dressmaking shop, I started experimenting with designing and sewing coats for them myself, and over the years they (and my friends dogs) have patiently been testing out various ideas and designs.
The name "BogDawgs" came about watching my 3rd rescue dog, "Surfing and snorkelling" every muddy bog and puddle she could find. Being a Hungarian street dog, it is hard to say what interesting breeds might be in her bloodline, so when people ask "what breed is she"?, I answer -yes you guessed it "She's a BogDawg"!
My first market stall was Christmas 2018, and with the untiring support of our customers and friends, and stitch by stitch, BogDawgs has grown as a small true handmade business ever since.
All of BogDawgs items are made by hand and to reduce our carbon footprint, we endeavour to buy all our fabrics and materials as local (and locally produced) as possible.
